Rev is an AI-first company transforming how people capture, understand, and act on insights from conversations, files, and meetings. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role for a Lead Product Designer operating at the Senior-to-Staff level. You will own complex product experiences end-to-end, from customer discovery and problem definition through concept development, prototyping, delivery, measurement, and iteration. You'll partner closely with the Head of Product, product managers, and engineers to translate customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints into intuitive AI-powered experiences. Key responsibilities include: designing cohesive experiences across web, desktop, and mobile; simplifying complex workflows involving automated speech recognition and conversational intelligence; creating user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready designs in Figma; conducting customer discovery and usability testing; designing trustworthy AI experiences that address uncertainty, transparency, user control, and failure states; strengthening Rev's design system; and establishing repeatable processes that improve design quality and speed. You'll use AI throughout the design process to accelerate exploration, research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iteration. You'll help establish effective, repeatable AI-enabled design practices across the organization and serve as a senior design voice by communicating design rationale, facilitating critiques, and advocating for the customer. Depending on experience, the role may include mentoring other designers and player-coach leadership while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day execution. Required qualifications: significant experience as a UX or Product Designer at Senior, Staff, or Lead level; compelling portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex product experiences; strong interaction, UX, and visual-design capabilities across responsive web and mobile; advanced Figma proficiency; experience conducting customer research and usability testing; demonstrated sustained use of AI throughout the design process; experience designing AI-powered products with thoughtful approaches to trust and transparency; experience contributing to design systems; successful collaboration with Product and Engineering; ability to independently lead ambiguous, high-impact initiatives; strong product judgment and bias toward action and measurable outcomes; strong foundation in user-centered design, information architecture, responsive design, and accessibility. Nice-to-have: experience with AI products, B2B SaaS, legal technology, media workflows, speech technology, or conversational intelligence; experience in fast-paced startups.
