Scopely is seeking a Lead UI Artist to join the MONOPOLY GO! team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis. MONOPOLY GO! is the biggest mobile game launch in history, captivating millions of players worldwide.
In this role, you will establish and uphold the UI vision each season in partnership with the Art Director and Product/UX leads. You'll set the bar for quality and technical craft while exploring how AI-assisted workflows can improve UI design and production. You'll own and continuously improve UI's design-system standards and guideline documentation, partnering with UX and Tech Art on implementation.
Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring the UI discipline, owning performance reviews, goal-setting, and team health. You'll participate in hiring to ensure new team members are the right fit and champion the team's culture. You'll serve as the primary point of contact and voice for UI, coordinating the discipline's work with the rest of production from planning through delivery.
You bring 8+ years of practical UI/design experience in games (mobile preferred), including 3+ years leading, mentoring, and setting the design bar for a team. You have demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted creative tools and the judgment to evaluate where emerging workflows can improve quality, iteration, or efficiency. You have a track record shipping multiple mobile titles' UI systems in casual/whimsical art styles, partnering across Design, UX, and Engineering to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences.
You possess expert-level UI/UX and graphic design skills, including typography, iconography, and interaction design, backed by mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma. You have a positive attitude and the ability to give and receive objective feedback. Bonus experience includes navigating brand guidelines and approval pipelines of externally-licensed IP and a passion for mobile gaming.
