Ripple is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Recruiter to build and manage the talent pipeline for specialized Quantitative Engineering and Algorithmic Trading roles. This is a leadership position within the talent acquisition function, responsible for owning the end-to-end recruiting process for elite quantitative talent. Key responsibilities include: developing and executing sophisticated recruiting strategies aligned with strategic hiring goals; sourcing candidates from niche channels including Kaggle, GitHub, ArXiv, competitive programming forums (Codeforces), and quantitative finance conferences (NeurIPS, ICML); partnering with engineering leadership to understand technical requirements and performance objectives; ensuring exceptional candidate experience through white-glove support and interview preparation; conducting intake meetings, interview team kick-offs, and technical debriefs; and delivering weekly analytics and progress reports to senior leadership. You will work closely with hiring managers and the broader Talent Acquisition team to identify and attract world-class mathematical and technical minds. The role requires deep understanding of quantitative engineering stacks, modeling requirements, and performance engineering needs. Required qualifications: 7+ years recruiting experience with at least 3+ years focused on Quantitative Engineering, High-Frequency Trading, or Machine Learning talent. Strong sourcing skills with proven ability to convert passive, highly-compensated talent. Experience with niche sourcing channels including math Olympiads, research labs, and diversity-in-STEM events. In-depth knowledge of quantitative tech stacks (C++, Python, Rust, Low-Latency systems, Distributed Computing). Proficiency with Greenhouse ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and specialized sourcing tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage with PhDs and elite engineers. Preferred: blend of agency and in-house startup recruiting experience; Bay Area or financial hub background with knowledge of FinTech and hedge fund landscapes.
