Ripple is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Recruiter to build and manage the talent pipeline for specialized Quantitative Engineering and Algorithmic Trading roles. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will own the full recruiting lifecycle—from sourcing elite mathematical and technical talent through offer negotiations—while partnering closely with engineering leadership to align hiring with strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include developing sophisticated sourcing strategies targeting niche talent pools (Kaggle, GitHub, ArXiv, competitive programming forums, academic conferences like NeurIPS and ICML), managing intake meetings and technical debrief processes, and ensuring a white-glove candidate experience for high-stakes talent. You will deliver weekly performance analytics to hiring managers and senior leadership, and drive recruiting strategy aligned with aggressive hiring goals.
You bring 7+ years of recruiting experience with at least 3+ years focused on quantitative engineering, high-frequency trading, or machine learning talent. A blend of agency and in-house startup experience is preferred. You have proven success converting passive, highly-compensated talent into hires, and you're comfortable sourcing from unconventional channels including math olympiads and diversity-in-STEM academic events.
You possess in-depth knowledge of the quantitative tech stack (C++, Python, Rust, low-latency systems, distributed computing) and can speak fluently with PhDs and elite engineers. Experience in Bay Area or other major financial hubs, familiarity with fintech and quantitative hedge fund landscapes, and proficiency with recruiting tools (Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Entelo, SeekOut, GitHub) are essential. You're a self-starter with exceptional organizational precision who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
