Salary: CAD 120,000 - 145,000 / annual
Join Lightspeed's Strategic Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance & Insights. This role sits at the intersection of strategic finance, data analysis, and business intelligence across Lightspeed's diverse business units (software, payments, capital, and hardware).
You will own complex, cross-functional financial analysis projects that drive strategic decision-making at the executive level. Key responsibilities include: building driver-based financial models and three-statement analysis from the ground up; conducting deep-dive analysis into business performance across multiple revenue streams and business models; improving forecasting methodologies and accuracy for both in-year and long-range planning; owning the monthly and quarterly finance close and reporting rhythm; and translating complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
You will work directly with data, using SQL and BI tools to access, validate, and analyze information. You'll partner closely with business teams across the organization, challenging assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and connecting individual business performance to consolidated results.
Required skills: strong financial modeling expertise; hands-on experience with SQL or equivalent querying tools and BI platforms; ability to structure ambiguous problems and bring sound judgment to complex questions; business curiosity and analytical rigor; excellent communication skills for both finance and non-finance audiences; and experience in complex, multi-revenue-stream business environments.
