GitLab is seeking an SEC Reporting Manager to own end-to-end external financial reporting for a public company. This role goes beyond data collection—you'll drive the quarterly and annual SEC reporting calendar, coordinate cross-functional work across Accounting, Legal, FP&A, and Investor Relations, and continuously improve disclosure quality and reporting processes.
Key responsibilities include preparing and filing SEC forms (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-1), leading the earnings release process, managing the disclosure checklist and XBRL review, and ensuring compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements. You'll own technical accounting deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, equity rollforwards, and EPS calculations. You'll also identify process inefficiencies and drive automation and standardization across the reporting function.
You'll report to the Director of SEC Reporting and work remotely from the Americas in GitLab's all-remote environment. The role emphasizes clear ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, experience owning SEC reporting deliverables (10-K/10-Q) in a public company or public accounting environment, strong project management and analytical skills, and clear communication with senior stakeholders. Preferred: CPA licensure, proficiency with Workiva Wdesk and NetSuite, and a track record of improving disclosures and processes beyond execution.
