The Nuclear Company is a Series A AI-enabled startup pioneering next-generation nuclear reactor deployment through a design-once, build-many model. As Recruiting Lead, you will own end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for technical functions including software, cyber, IT, UX, security, and product. You will serve as a strategic business consultant to hiring managers, going beyond basic skill matching to identify core competencies required for success in a high-stakes nuclear environment. Responsibilities include conducting intake sessions that define role requirements, providing data-driven insights on market trends and compensation benchmarks, and managing headcount allocation and priority shifting. You will execute full-cycle recruitment for complex technical roles, leveraging a recruiting coordinator and technical sourcer for support. This includes designing creative sourcing strategies to identify passive talent in specialized communities and managing the candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance, ensuring every candidate—hired or not—becomes an advocate for the company's mission. Operationally, you will build and refine a rigorous, structured interviewing process that balances speed with the scrutiny required for a safety-critical industry. You will optimize the tech stack (ATS, LinkedIn, UKG) to ensure pipeline hygiene and actionable data, and lead process improvement initiatives during high-volume hiring periods. The role requires someone driven by purpose who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by building at scale. The company operates with an AI-first mindset, expecting all employees to leverage AI and technology to improve quality, speed, and impact. Core values—Transparency, Responsibility, Unity, Scrappiness, and Tenacity—guide hiring and collaboration.
