MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform serving 13,000+ customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo. The platform manages 13.9 million assets and 79.5 million completed work orders for industrial and frontline teams. You will own the Templating Service end-to-end, a foundational platform layer enabling large, multi-site enterprises to define procedures, assets, work orders, and parts once, then cascade them across all sites with versioning, update policies, and controlled publishing. As the service matures, you'll also lead the redesign of the location and asset hierarchy underneath it. Key responsibilities include: - Owning strategy, roadmap, and execution for templates across assets, procedures, work orders, and parts—taking the current design-partner alpha to GA adoption across multi-site enterprise accounts - Consolidating three overlapping configuration systems into one registry with a clear migration path and deprecation sequence that doesn't strand customers mid-move - Resolving semantic complexity in this space: update policies, publish and conflict flows, versioning, and promoting existing records into templates—establishing settled rules for downstream teams - Running the design-partner program directly: conducting recurring customer sessions, prototype-driven discovery, and converting insights into roadmap priorities - Taking the hierarchy redesign from specification to validated model—introducing typed locations, N-level depth, and functional positions that preserve PM schedules through asset swaps, while remaining additive and non-breaking for existing two-level structure customers You'll work within the Enterprise Knowledge pillar, responsible for how large, multi-site customers define and govern operational data. This is foundational platform work—the infrastructure other products build on. Requirements: - 10+ years in product management, including 5+ years of platform or core-product work at an enterprise SaaS company (entity models, permissioning, configuration frameworks—the foundations, not the features on top) - Deep systems thinking: ability to hold cascade/override policies or hierarchy schemas in your head, reason about cardinality and migration states, and argue trade-offs with staff engineers as a peer - Demonstrated discovery motion: you run design-partner sessions yourself and let evidence overrule opinion - Track record sequencing multi-year foundational work while shipping customer-visible value every quarter Nice to have: - CMMS, EAM, or industrial operations background - Experience migrating customers off SAP PM or Maximo-class systems
