Demandbase is a pipeline AI platform for B2B GTM teams, enabling account-based marketing automation at scale. The company has raised significant funding and maintains offices across San Francisco, New York, Austin, Seattle, India, and the UK.
You will serve as the primary architect of Demandbase's Orchestration Engine—the "Action Layer" that translates account intelligence into real-world execution. This is a strategic product leadership role focused on workflow automation, integration platforms, and the intersection of orchestration with AI/agentic systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the end-to-end roadmap for the workflow builder, trigger logic, and action framework, ensuring it remains the most flexible and user-friendly orchestration tool in B2B SaaS.
- Drive integration strategy across the broader tech stack (Salesforce, Marketo, Slack, etc.), ensuring complex multi-step "Plays" execute seamlessly across distributed ecosystems.
- Identify orchestration friction points and solve them pragmatically using Demandbase AI—avoiding AI-for-AI's-sake approaches.
- Lay groundwork for autonomous GTM by defining how orchestration logic can support emerging Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards and AI agent workflows.
- Partner with Principal Engineering to scale the orchestration layer to handle billions of signals with low-latency real-time execution.
You bring 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3-4 years focused on orchestration, workflow automation, or integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Tray.io, Marketo, CRM automation). You have a logical architect mindset—deep expertise in If-This-Then-That logic, Boolean filters, state machines, race conditions, and error handling. You're technically fluent in API design, webhooks, and distributed event processing, comfortable partnering with Principal Engineers. You understand LLMs and agentic frameworks from a systems-builder perspective, prioritizing reliability and human-in-the-loop controls. You have B2B domain authority and understand how Sales Ops and Marketing Ops leaders think about automation, transparency, and predictability.
Success is measured by orchestration depth (complexity and volume of automated Plays), platform extensibility (reducing effort to add new third-party actions), and AI-assisted efficiency (time-savings through AI-suggested or optimized logic).
This role offers the opportunity to guide a proven, market-leading orchestration engine through its transition into the AI-powered future, serving as the "Central Nervous System" of the GTM stack.
