Xero is seeking a Product Manager to lead AI enablement initiatives across the organization. This role focuses on building shared platforms and operating models that enable AI-native delivery at scale, rather than shipping standalone AI features. You will design AI harnesses that help teams build faster with appropriate guardrails, gateways that ensure safe and efficient model usage, and agents that reduce operational toil.
You'll drive initiatives across the full delivery lifecycle, combining strategy, execution, and measurable organizational impact. Your responsibilities include driving decision-making across products and teams, connecting work across different development phases, and training and coaching others to build strong AI product practices. You'll work closely with Engineering, Security, Data, and other teams to keep decisions aligned across the business.
Initially, you will focus on building and scaling shared capabilities behind Xero's AI-native delivery model, aligning stakeholders on strategy and priorities, establishing baselines for adoption, delivery speed, cost, quality and technology health, publishing quarterly roadmaps and governance approaches, and moving high-value workflows from pilot into repeatable adoption.
The ideal candidate brings strong platform product management experience, ideally in developer tools, infrastructure, data, or AI. You think in systems and can join dots across various phases and teams. You excel at translating complex technical possibilities into clear outcomes and investment decisions. Your approach to discovery, delivery, and measurement is outcome-focused, with proven ability to demonstrate what's working. You're comfortable with ambiguity, evolving technology, and incomplete information. You combine curiosity and pragmatism with resilience to turn early experiments into scalable products.
