Salary: GBP 90,000 - 110,000 / annual
Monzo is a fintech company on a mission to make money work for everyone, offering personal and business bank accounts, credit cards, savings, investments, and pensions through a mobile-first platform. The Design team comprises 115+ designers, researchers, and brand experts focused on creating human-centered banking experiences.
You'll join the Growth collective as a Product Designer with a focus on web experiences. Your primary responsibility is designing high-quality web interfaces that help new and existing customers discover Monzo's value proposition before they open the app. You'll combine strong visual and interaction design with data-informed decision-making, using experimentation and customer insights to continuously improve the experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design of web experiences that drive customer discovery and engagement
- Using quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities and inform design decisions
- Developing hypotheses, designing experiments, and iterating based on learnings
- Delivering exceptional visual and interaction design that feels distinctly Monzo while driving business outcomes
- Solving complex, ambiguous design challenges by balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Defining product vision and long-term direction beyond individual experiments
- Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Research teams
- Leveraging AI tools to enhance design workflows (ideation, analysis, prototyping, production)
- Moving pragmatically between rapid experimentation and high-craft polish
- Mentoring other designers and contributing to team growth
You should have a proven track record designing high-quality web experiences with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual and interaction design craft. You're comfortable using data to inform decisions, curious about customer behavior, and excited by high-impact customer journeys. Prior Growth team experience is not required.
