As Lead Product Designer, you will drive the design vision for Verkada's web and mobile products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll own the complete design lifecycle—from product strategy and user research through low-fidelity wireframes to pixel-perfect final designs. Your responsibilities include:
• Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers in an agile development environment, moving quickly from ideation to prototyping to release.
• Building and fostering a collaborative design culture; running brainstorming sessions and elevating team standards.
• Developing product strategies that balance customer needs with company vision.
• Mentoring junior designers, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring design excellence across projects.
• Serving as project lead, co-owning final products with product and engineering partners.
• Managing multiple concurrent projects, stakeholder relationships, scope, and schedules.
• Conducting user research on key initiatives to inform design decisions.
You bring 7+ years of product or mobile design experience, a strong portfolio demonstrating polished visual and interaction design, and a degree in design, art, HCI, or equivalent. You're proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, experienced in animated visuals and interactive design, and driven to solve complex problems with simple, elegant solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments and have a proven track record of creative problem-solving with cross-functional teams.
