As Lead Product Designer, you will own Motorway's most complex design challenges across the full product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery. This role combines high-impact individual design work with leadership responsibilities—mentoring designers, shaping team culture, and setting standards for craft and rigor. Key responsibilities include: - Tackling ambiguous, complex product problems and transforming them into elegant user experiences for web and mobile - Pioneering thoughtful AI integration into design workflows while maintaining human judgment and craft - Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and data teams with a builder's mindset - Advocating fiercely for users through research, usability testing, and data insights - Mentoring junior and senior designers, fostering a strong design culture - Running workshops, leading design rituals, and driving continuous improvement across the team - Communicating design decisions with commercial awareness to stakeholders at all levels You'll bring proven leadership as a Senior or Lead Product Designer with a track record of shipping impactful digital products. A builder's instinct is essential—you have experience shipping code, building your own products, or creating functional prototypes. You combine versatile experience across B2C and B2B landscapes with an AI-forward mindset and strong commercial acumen. You're proficient in modern design tools (Figma, Claude, Kiro) and grounded in user-centered design methodologies and accessibility standards. Experience optimizing conversion funnels or working in two-sided marketplaces is a bonus.
