DocuSign is seeking a Lead Product Designer for the Admin Team to shape the experience for administrators responsible for configuring, governing, and managing DocuSign across their organizations. As AI becomes increasingly central to DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, you will define how administrators configure, understand, govern, and manage AI-powered capabilities with confidence.
In this role, you will design elegant, customer-focused web applications for millions of DocuSign users globally. You will define experience direction for DocuSign Admin and translate that vision into clear, scalable product experiences. You'll own design strategy and execution for complex Admin workflows, from early concepts through shipped experiences and ongoing improvement. A key focus is designing AI-powered experiences that help administrators configure, monitor, and understand intelligent capabilities across the platform, applying principles of trust, transparency, explainability, human control, and responsible AI.
You will use AI tools throughout the design process to accelerate exploration, prototyping, synthesis, and iteration while maintaining high design standards. You'll simplify complex enterprise administration, configuration, permissions, governance, and management workflows. This is a highly collaborative role working closely with Product Management, Engineering, User Research, Content Design, and the broader design team. Because Admin capabilities span the DocuSign platform, you will partner across product areas to create consistent patterns and experiences for administrators.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Experience Design. The position is hybrid with a minimum 2 days per week in-office requirement at the Seattle location.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years of experience designing enterprise, consumer, and/or mobile user experiences for large-scale web services
- Experience designing complex enterprise software, administrative tools, configuration experiences, or platform products
- 2+ years of experience coaching and mentoring junior team members in design and usability
- 2+ years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Sketch
- Portfolio demonstrating product design strategy, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, design rationale, and strong communication and storytelling skills
PREFERRED:
- Experience designing AI-powered products, agentic experiences, or enterprise automation
- Experience using generative AI tools as part of the product design process, including concept exploration, prototyping, research synthesis, or design iteration
- Understanding of emerging AI interaction patterns and the challenges of designing for trust, transparency, explainability, user control, and governance
- Ability to identify where AI meaningfully improves an experience and where a deterministic or traditional interaction is the better solution
