Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Space Vehicle Integration to lead manufacturing strategy and execution for complex spacecraft hardware. This role owns the entire vehicle integration value chain, from Design for Manufacturability through production, including advanced manufacturing process development, tooling design, supplier technical management, quality system implementation, and work documentation. Key responsibilities include: defining vehicle-level build flows and assembly sequences for production vehicle lines; owning post-environmental close-out stations (weight/balance, mass properties, sealing, mechanical close-out, ship prep) which are identified as the throughput bottleneck; developing and qualifying vehicle integration processes including precision fastening, bonded joints, mechanism installation, harness routing, and metrology-based alignment; driving Design for Manufacturability into vehicle designs before Critical Design Review by partnering with structures, mechanisms, and systems engineers; deploying Anduril's Manufacturing Development Process across the program; maturing manufacturing readiness artifacts concurrently with design milestones; mastering the manufacturing execution toolchain (Foundry and Teamcenter) as the system of record; specifying and deploying mechanical ground support equipment and custom tooling; partnering with Supply Chain and Quality to define and monitor manufacturing best practices at vendors and outside partners; and hiring, mentoring, and leading integration engineers while providing hands-on technical leadership to integration technicians. The ideal candidate demonstrates proven leadership in solving complex technical challenges with innovative, practical solutions in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments, with a track record of scaling manufacturing processes from prototype through production and delivering high-reliability hardware on aggressive timelines. This is a technical leadership role focused on manufacturing excellence in the space/defense sector.
