Revolut is seeking a Lead Credit Manager to design and manage credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for lending features in Brazil. This role sits within the Credit team, which creates and scales lending products that power global growth across Revolut's 75+ million customer base.
You will own the development of account-level valuation and credit underwriting policies using NPV frameworks to optimize portfolio-level economic returns. Key responsibilities include managing credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention strategies, and over-limit policies. You'll make data-driven decisions with a focus on marginal decision-making, adjusting risk-return requirements as new market data emerges.
You will validate underwriting strategies and lead both preventative and reactive actions to market and product changes. This includes tracking and communicating performance of ongoing initiatives, maintaining intensive monitoring of credit KPIs, and identifying operational inefficiencies within the Credit team. You'll support annual budget, forecast, and planning processes from concept through delivery, and ensure first-line credit risk function receives approval and good ratings from second and third lines of defense and regulators.
The ideal candidate has experience managing the risk cycle for retail credit products (credit cards, unsecured personal loans). You hold a bachelor's degree in a quantitative/analytical field (engineering, statistics, physics, mathematics, economics, management) and possess solid understanding of credit policy governance frameworks. You have a track record of delivering excellent results, are forward-thinking in planning and problem-solving, and understand credit and behavioral scoring models for retail products. Strong communication skills and the ability to balance elegant problem-solving with business speed are essential.
Nice-to-have qualifications include a master's degree, working knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or other data analysis tools, and willingness to learn new technologies.
