Patch is seeking a Lead Brand Designer to own the company's visual identity and design execution across all customer-facing and internal materials. This hybrid role combines hands-on design work in Figma with creative direction and team leadership responsibilities. You will own and evolve Patch's visual identity system as the company scales, ensuring consistency and distinctiveness across all touchpoints. Key responsibilities include leading website design for new pages, campaigns, and refreshes in partnership with marketing and sales teams; designing flagship reports, whitepapers, and editorial content that establish category authority; creating sales narrative decks, pitch templates, and GTM collateral; designing digital and campaign surfaces including ads, social, landing pages, email, and campaign systems; designing physical brand presence through events, dinners, print, signage, and merchandise; and directing motion and video content for launches and campaigns. You will also build and manage a network of specialist contractors and agencies, writing briefs, conducting design reviews, and owning the design budget and timeline. This is a maker-and-manager role requiring both strong execution skills and leadership capability. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of brand design experience, including time in-house at a high-growth B2B or category-defining company and experience at or working closely with a top design agency. You should have a portfolio demonstrating distinctive, sharp work across web, print, motion, and physical formats. You've owned a visual identity system end-to-end and evolved it as a company scaled. You're fluent across multiple formats and can effectively art-direct external specialists. You're decisive and pragmatic, balancing craft against speed while knowing when to hold the line on quality. Strong communication skills are essential—you can defend design decisions to CEOs, sales teams, and customers with equal clarity. Motivation by climate impact or working on meaningful problems is valued. Patch offers competitive salary and meaningful equity, hybrid work in San Francisco with annual global offsites, unlimited vacation, generous parental leave, and a monthly wellness stipend.
