Novig is building America's leading sports prediction market, recently becoming a CFTC-designated market. The company is backed by top-tier investors including Pantera, Forerunner, Lux, NFX, Paul Graham, and Joe Montana, with over $100M in funding.
You'll join a small, high-output creative team as a hands-on individual contributor with real creative autonomy. This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy and execution, reporting to the Head of Creative.
Key responsibilities include:
- Solidifying and evolving Novig's brand identity as the company scales, serving as its keeper
- Owning design concepts end-to-end with autonomy—from art direction through execution across brand, campaign, and marketing work
- Acting as a strategic design lead, partnering directly with product, marketing, and leadership teams
- Identifying and pitching design opportunities that can elevate Novig's presence
- Collaborating with product design to create graphics, icons, illustrations, and branded moments within the app
- Directing contract designers on overflow work
You bring 6-8 years of design experience at top brands, studios, or agencies, with a world-class portfolio demonstrating strong eye and craft. You have impeccable taste, operate confidently with autonomy, and maintain obsessive attention to detail across all project sizes. You're versatile across print and digital, with product design familiarity as a plus. You're comfortable with multiple hats—art director, strategist, designer—and stay plugged into art, culture, and design trends. You're fluent in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with motion design experience as a strong plus. Experience building or evolving brand identity at startups, directing freelance designers, or working in sports/betting/prediction markets is valued.
The environment moves fast with minimal process—decisions happen quickly, and you'll ship work directly. The role involves potential nights and weekends tied to live sports coverage. This is ideal for someone seeking real responsibility, trust, and the chance to shape a brand from its early stages.
