You will lead the Accounts Receivable Operations team, serving as a bridge between frontline invoicing staff and management. This is a people-management role focused on driving operational excellence, process improvement, and team development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day invoicing operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with client contracts
- Mentor and support team members through guidance, troubleshooting, and peer training
- Partner with the team manager on onboarding, cross-training, and knowledge documentation
- Prioritize workload, identify bottlenecks, and flag resourcing gaps
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture with open communication and continuous learning
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on invoicing processes, tools, and best practices
- Identify workflow challenges and propose process enhancements
- Track operational metrics and KPIs to support reporting and continuous improvement
- Lead small-scale projects to enhance invoicing workflows, automation, or training
- Support weekly and monthly revenue checks by reviewing invoice data and collaborating with Finance
- Facilitate communication between the Invoicing Operations team and key stakeholders (Sales, Client Operations, Finance)
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years in invoicing, accounting, or financial operations
- Hands-on experience submitting invoices into third-party systems (OpenInvoice, Cortex, ARIBA, Fieldglass, Pro-Unlimited/Wand)
- Proficiency in NetSuite or comparable ERP systems
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel and G-Suite proficiency
- Demonstrated problem-solving and solutions-oriented mindset
Preferred experience includes: fast-paced, high-growth environments; M&A operational transitions; international billing and tax compliance; energy, staffing, or technology industries; AI/ML/RPA tools in financial operations; change management leadership.
