OpenAI's Launch Team, sitting within the Marketing organization, is seeking a Producer to lead creative delivery for research-led product launches. You will work at the intersection of Research, Product, and Creative teams to bring new AI capabilities to market through compelling visual identities, films, demos, web content, and social assets.
In this role, you will own the complete production lifecycle from initial brief through final release. You'll build close working relationships with Researchers and technical partners to deeply understand capabilities and limitations, then translate that understanding into clear, coordinated creative work. Your responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Research, Product Marketing, Communications, and Creative leads to develop clear briefs, deliverables, production scopes, and approval workflows
- Owning integrated launch assets across design, motion, film, demos, web, and social channels
- Managing production resources and external vendors, including scopes, budgets, statements of work, and usage rights
- Leading reviews with Research and technical, legal, policy, and creative stakeholders from early input through final approval
- Ensuring consistency across all assets, including model names, claims, demos, and product behavior
- Planning versioning and localization with regional partners and overseeing asset QA and final handoffs
- Maintaining clear documentation of briefs, timelines, decisions, and assets; capturing lessons to improve workflows

The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model (three days in office per week). Occasional travel is required. OpenAI offers relocation assistance to new employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience producing complex creative work for technology or research-driven launches, with hands-on responsibility from briefing and scoping through production and delivery
- Deep technical curiosity and hands-on drive to understand Research and learn as technology evolves
- Fluency and confidence with AI tools and workflows, used hands-on in creative production
- Understanding of design, motion, film, and digital production well enough to scope work and anticipate dependencies
- Comfort managing production partners, budgets, schedules, reviews, and delivery across concurrent workstreams
- Clear communication and ability to build trust across disciplines; capacity to incorporate feedback and challenge assumptions constructively
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments where inputs change and timelines compress, while protecting essential review and quality checks
- Discretion with unreleased research, launch plans, and production budgets; genuine interest in AI and creative craft
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience working directly with AI researchers or producing model launches and technical demonstrations
- Experience delivering localized creative across markets and coordinating rights, approvals, and asset versioning
