Alan is a prevention-focused health insurance company serving 1M+ members across 40K+ companies, with €800M+ ARR. The company integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a unified platform and is expanding its Account Management team to 30+ professionals.
As a Key Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of strategic public sector accounts (ministries and government entities), building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute account strategies to drive retention and growth within your public sector portfolio
- Conduct business reviews and present consumption analytics to customers
- Lead successful onboarding of new accounts and drive employee adoption of Alan's health partner positioning
- Identify early signals of dissatisfaction and implement proactive solutions
- Renegotiate contracts to balance customer value with sustainable profitability
- Serve as the voice of customers in product and service evolution discussions with internal teams
- Design and execute engagement initiatives for existing customers
- Demonstrate expertise in stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship building with large organizations
The role is based in Paris or Bordeaux with flexible office arrangements and co-working hub access in multiple French cities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 6 years of customer-facing experience with frequent C-level interactions
- Full working proficiency in French (excellent oral and written communication)
- Advanced level English proficiency
- Demonstrated experience managing very large organizations and potentially union negotiations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to present complex data analysis to clients
- Excellent active listening and relationship-building capabilities
- Growth mindset with ability to develop in-depth understanding of health insurance market
- Currently based in or willing to relocate to Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, or Annecy
- Nice to have: prior experience in insurance, benefits, or public sector
