Wave Mobile Money is building financial services across Sub-Saharan Africa to make the continent cashless. The company operates a mobile money platform enabling cash deposits, withdrawals, peer-to-peer transfers, and business payments across 9 countries with millions of users. As Key Account Lead based in Bamako, you will drive B2B sales growth by prospecting and closing high-revenue corporate clients including large corporations, structured SMEs, NGOs, and government institutions. Your responsibilities span the full sales cycle: identifying and targeting high-potential accounts, building a robust pipeline, conducting presentations and product demos to C-suite and finance decision-makers (CFOs, CEOs, HR Directors), understanding client needs deeply, proposing customized solutions (salary payments, supplier payment collection, invoice collection), and negotiating contract terms to close deals. You will track sales KPIs using Wave's CRM, provide structured field feedback to Product and Marketing teams to improve business offerings, and conduct competitive intelligence on banking and telecom payment solutions. The role requires fluency in French (primary working language) and professional English proficiency to collaborate with regional teams. You bring at least 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally from international companies, banks, or mobile money operators. A degree in sales, project management, finance, international relations, or business management is required. You have mastery of the full B2B sales cycle, an existing professional network in West Africa (particularly with CFOs and CEOs), excellent communication and active listening skills, and a track record of exceeding sales targets. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced startup environments and are mission-driven to expand financial inclusion. This is a permanent, in-office position based in Bamako with travel to upcountry locations. Work authorization in Mali is required. Wave offers competitive salaries, generous health insurance for you and dependents, 26 weeks parental leave for mothers and 4 weeks for fathers, subsidized childcare, airtime reimbursement, and free food and office space.
