FlixBus is seeking a Junior Network Planner to join its India operations team in Gurugram. This role is central to the company's expansion strategy, as the network planning team serves as the chief architect of the business, working closely with the managing director, commercial functions, and business development to shape the transportation network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead network launches by driving planning, execution, and successful handovers to internal stakeholders
- Track and analyze network performance using data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
- Optimize routes, frequencies, and schedules to improve network efficiency and profitability
- Collaborate with business partners, revenue management, and local teams to develop and expand the FlixBus network
- Coordinate interactions across allocated line portfolios with other teams to ensure smooth operational processes (line starts, operational requests)
- Base decisions on quantitative analyses, deriving insights from diverse data sets
- Drive FlixBus expansion in India with innovation and entrepreneurial energy

Requirements:
- Master's degree in Economics, Urban Planning, Geographical Engineering, Transportation, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in network planning or transportation planning within mobility/travel or related industries, preferably in a global setup
- Strong understanding of India's geography and travel demand patterns
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make informed decisions
- Solid business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset to drive network growth and profitability
- Proficiency in planning software, Power BI, Excel, Cubes, and other network planning tools
- Fluent English (spoken and written) with excellent cross-functional coordination skills across multiple stakeholders and regions
