FlixTrain is seeking an IVU Expert to serve as the primary point of contact for IVU (a central planning tool) and bridge operations planning with medium- and long-term workforce planning across the COO organization.
In this staff-level role reporting to the Director of Production Concepts + Planning, you will own IVU as a strategic planning instrument and ensure personnel requirements are available by location and time period, enabling informed decisions on headcount and recruiting targets across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as the main IVU contact, serving as the interface between operations and workforce planning in the COO area
- Lead IVU implementation and continuous improvement in operations and personnel planning as a Super User
- Train internal teams and external partner companies on IVU usage and actively share knowledge
- Implement and develop the new intra-annual construction module per the Annex VII process, including committee work and support on BNetzA regulatory matters
- Optimize routes, services, and service sequences for quality, reliability, and cost across current and future timetable periods and associated time slices
- Calculate medium- to long-term personnel requirements and provide location-specific FTE calculations by time period
- Model various personnel demand scenarios to support FlixTrain's growth and recommend staffing and recruiting targets
You bring a completed degree or apprenticeship in transportation/logistics or a related field, with demonstrated experience in operations and/or workforce planning in rail passenger or freight transport. Strong analytical skills, IVU software expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally across operations and HR are essential. German language proficiency is required given the regulatory and internal communication context.
