7AI is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to lead IT operations end-to-end as a founding member of the IT function. You will own identity and access management via Okta, manage the macOS endpoint fleet through Jamf, administer the company's SaaS and business systems ecosystem, and automate employee onboarding and offboarding workflows. This is a hands-on role where you'll be the first technical point of contact for all IT needs at a fast-growing, technical company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administer Okta as the identity platform, configuring SAML/OIDC, SCIM, lifecycle policies, and access provisioning across AWS, GitHub, Salesforce, and the broader SaaS estate
- Automate employee onboarding and offboarding end-to-end, replacing manual processes with code-based solutions
- Own day-to-day administration of business systems including Salesforce, Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace, and similar platforms—handling configuration, integrations, user management, and team support
- Manage the Jamf-administered macOS fleet, including provisioning, software allowlisting, patching, and endpoint operations
- Maintain an accurate SaaS application inventory, integrate apps with SSO/SCIM, and rationalize unused accounts, licenses, and API tokens
- Partner with Finance and system owners on SaaS licensing, renewals, and cost optimization
- Support the security team's phishing awareness program, audit evidence collection, and detection tuning
- Serve as first responder for IT incidents, setting SLAs and growing the function as the company scales
You'll need 5+ years of IT engineering experience at fast-growing technology companies, with deep expertise in Okta administration, Jamf Pro and macOS endpoint management, and scripting in Python or Bash. You should have a proven track record automating onboarding/offboarding and replacing manual access processes with code, hands-on experience administering a broad SaaS estate, and comfort supporting business-critical systems owned by other teams. The ideal candidate is a calm, low-friction operator who can handle incidents, executive requests, and fleet rollouts simultaneously.
