Parachute Home is a premium home essentials company focused on creating responsibly-made bedding and home products. The Inventory Planning Manager leads the inventory reconciliation process between Demand and Supply Planning as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
In this role, you will own the company's total inventory health—accuracy, timeliness, and NetSuite data integrity—working closely with Finance, Logistics, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning teams. You'll drive weekly reporting and monthly S&OP reviews, translating raw data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Key responsibilities include: owning inventory position visibility across products and channels; analyzing inventory productivity using metrics like weeks of supply, sell-through, aging, and GMROI; identifying excess and slow-moving inventory and developing recommendations to improve productivity; establishing inventory targets and ideal coverage by SKU; partnering with Merchandising, Revenue, and Finance on commercial and financial decisions; driving accountability for inventory actions; supporting Finance on inventory valuation and period-end reconciliation; building and improving inventory reporting tools and processes in NetSuite and Excel/Google Sheets; and communicating performance and risks to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and senior leaders.
You should have 3–5+ years of experience in inventory planning, merchandise planning, supply planning, or inventory management in consumer, retail, or ecommerce businesses. Strong technical skills are essential: advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, advanced formulas), understanding of inventory planning concepts and S&OP, and preferably NetSuite or similar ERP experience. You're commercially minded, able to balance inventory availability, working capital, customer demand, and financial risk. You move beyond reporting to develop clear recommendations, communicate complex analysis confidently to senior stakeholders, and drive cross-functional action without direct authority. You thrive in fast-moving environments where processes and systems continue to evolve.
