Boston Scientific is seeking an Intracept Clinical Specialist to independently cover Intracept cases across Texas, with a primary base in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role combines clinical expertise with sales support, focusing on training surgical teams on the safe and effective use of the Intracept device for chronic low back pain treatment.
You will provide clinical case coverage, support sales and marketing initiatives, and serve as an educational resource to surgeons and medical staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Independently cover Intracept cases in assigned territories, regions, or nationally as needed
- Train surgical teams to ensure good patient outcomes and provide verbal support during procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of perioperative surgical technology, hospital policies, and ASC procedures
- Develop technical acumen to serve as a clinical and educational resource
- Demonstrate professional interactions with healthcare providers
- Maintain, prepare, and troubleshoot equipment and kits for surgery
- Conduct quality control audits and manage inventory reconciliation
- Assist in delivering procedural training to physicians and medical staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies on product promotion and healthcare professional interactions
- Travel throughout Texas territory as required
The ideal candidate will live in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area and be prepared to cover the entire state of Texas. This is a field-based role requiring reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Essential: Experience with procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, or X-ray/radiography
- One of the following education/experience combinations:
* High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree + minimum 4 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role (preferably medical device company)
* Bachelor's degree + minimum 2 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role such as Radiology Tech or Surgical Tech (preferably medical device company)
* Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) + minimum 6 months in a clinical specialist or related medical role (preferably medical device company)
- Customer relationship and procedural skill development experience
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and lift; normal vision required
- Travel required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Operating room experience (exposure to surgery/surgical procedures)
- Spine or pain management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with positive attitude
