Liftoff is an AI-powered performance marketing platform serving the mobile app economy across 74 countries. The International Tax Manager will own all non-US tax compliance and financial reporting obligations across the company's global footprint. This is a hands-on, highly visible role requiring deep technical expertise in international direct and indirect taxation.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the quarterly non-US tax provision process, leading preparation and processing of local tax provisions and forecasting, and building/improving tax models to support provision, planning, and forecasting activities across jurisdictions. The role involves tracking tax deliverables to ensure deadlines are met, managing relationships with third-party tax service providers, and supporting strategic tax initiatives by providing quantitative insights to leadership.
Additional duties include monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, leading cross-functional tax projects such as process improvements and system implementations, assisting with audit readiness and documentation, and managing tax department operations including calendar tracking and resource coordination. The manager will collaborate closely with senior tax and accounting leaders to translate business changes into tax process updates and modeling assumptions.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of corporate tax, tax operations, or financial analysis experience, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. Experience supporting tax provision cycles, compliance processes, and audits is essential. Strong organizational and communication skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field is required; CPA, MST, or equivalent certification is a plus. Experience with tax provision software or ERP systems is preferred.
This is a full-time remote position eligible for employees in Pacific Time Zone states (California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington). The company is remote-first with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and New York City. Quarterly in-person team gatherings are expected.
