Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks an International Legal Counsel to support its international government and commercial businesses. Based in Costa Mesa, CA, this role is part of Anduril's Deal Team and will directly support Global Defense work in the Asia-Pacific and Americas regions, partnering with International Trade Compliance, Business Development, and Program teams. You will provide legal review and guidance on proposals, procurement, contracting strategies, and day-to-day program execution. Key responsibilities include owning the review, redlining, and negotiation of international terms and conditions—master agreements, purchase order T&Cs, license, hardware, and services agreements. You will balance speed with risk while building reusable playbooks and fallback positions that the Legal and Business Development teams can scale. The role requires robust understanding of international commercial and government contracting, including cross-border software, hardware, data rights, and services agreements. Familiarity with Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and hybrid FMS/DCS structures is valued. Working knowledge of U.S. government contracts, the FAR, and DFARS is a useful foundation. You will manage relationships with procurement, contracting, and legal counterparts at foreign government ministries of defense and allied procurement agencies. High-trust professional relationships with foreign government and U.S. Government contracting offices are critical to Anduril's success. You will develop and foster these relationships throughout your tenure. Additional responsibilities include assisting in strategy development for new business in Asia-Pacific and Americas regions, overseeing major proposals, and handling intellectual property, compliance, and related matters. The role requires travel averaging 1 week per month, including international travel to APAC and Americas customer sites. Flexibility to support calls with international employees and customers outside standard business hours is expected when not traveling. Anduril is a fast-growing company at early stages of growth. The Legal Team must be resourceful, creative, and eager to take ownership of complex matters. Experience across all legal areas is not expected, but willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
