Intelligence Center X (ICX) is Siemens' industrial AI platform that combines enterprise data, AI, and application capabilities to help customers solve complex industry challenges. As part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, ICX integrates Mendix, Graph Studio, and AI Studio to enable customers to build scalable AI-powered solutions using their own data and business context.
The ICX Engineering practice works directly with customers to shape use cases, build and validate solutions on customer data, demonstrate value, and support the transition from proof to implementation and expansion.
The Principal role represents the highest level of technical and industry expertise across ICX. You will set the direction of the ICX Engineering practice globally and engage with the most strategic customers on AI initiatives. Principals bring deep industry knowledge, full-stack command of ICX and the wider Siemens portfolio, and senior relationships across R&D and Siemens leadership that enable them to unblock challenges beyond the reach of an individual deal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead first-of-a-kind strategic accounts, particularly where ICX and Xcelerator are combined in new or complex ways
- Provide senior technical and strategic guidance across lighthouse accounts without owning every stage or engagement
- Define reference architectures, accelerators, patterns, and value cases that Engineers build from and zones can reuse
- Provide enablement and coaching to develop Engineers and establish career paths toward the Principal bar
- Help assure Year-1 success on strategic accounts and support expansion where appropriate
- Channel insights and learnings from live customer engagements back to R&D to inform product and practice evolution
Requirements:
Technical: Full-stack solution architecture with ability to design end-to-end data, AI, and application solutions while remaining hands-on in the build. Ontology and knowledge-graph design experience is a plus but not required; where present, should extend to production-scale implementations.
Commercial & Organizational: Ability to position ICX against Databricks, Snowflake, and Palantir in front of customers in live deals. Strong use-case identification and value engineering skills—finding where value exists in an account, building business cases with customers, and establishing reusable value patterns. Executive presence and internal reach to bring gravitas with senior stakeholders and navigate large organizations to unblock deals. Industry depth is a plus rather than a requirement for every hire; across the Principal team, meaningful depth is desired across core industries: automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, electronics, and pharma.
