Kin Insurance is seeking a Pricing and Risk Manager to design and develop new insurance products, coverages, and pricing enhancements while driving state expansion efforts. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on building the next generation of homeowners insurance products.
You will own the end-to-end process from initial concept through launch, including designing new insurance products and rating features, leading state expansion by building and validating pricing models for new markets, and optimizing existing state models for performance. You'll leverage AI and machine learning tools to enhance pricing accuracy, uncover emerging risk patterns, and accelerate analytical workflows. Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you'll partner with actuarial, product, and compliance teams to ensure new features are technically sound and regulator-ready.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining dashboards and KPIs to track product and pricing performance, translating market and competitive research into concrete product recommendations, identifying pricing innovation opportunities ahead of state expansion, and ensuring regulatory readiness for market entry.
Success in the first 6-12 months means launching new pricing products or features with meaningful impact to growth goals, building and validating state expansion pricing models ready for regulatory submission, actively integrating AI/ML tools into the pricing development workflow, and earning cross-functional partners' trust in your product recommendations and analysis.
You bring 5+ years of insurance product development experience, demonstrated success building or launching new insurance products, features, or rating enhancements, and hands-on experience supporting state expansion efforts including new-state pricing model development and regulatory readiness. You have practical experience applying AI and machine learning tools to pricing, underwriting, or risk workflows with measurable results, strong understanding of regulatory modeling and compliance requirements across multiple states, and ability to translate market research and competitive analysis into concrete pricing and product recommendations. Homeowners insurance experience is preferred but not required.
