Fintual is building a new AFP (pension fund administrator) in Chile with modern technology from the ground up. This role bridges deep operational expertise in pension administration with software engineering to create robust systems for pension requests, payments, and state benefits.
You will be the operational specialist and internal reference for pension processing, state benefits, and pension payment workflows. Your core responsibilities include:
**Operations & Compliance**: Supervise pension request processing, pension payments, and state benefits in real-time. Operate systems, coordinate with counterparts, and ensure full regulatory compliance across the complete process.
**Requirements Translation**: Document operational flows, edge cases, and critical business rules so the engineering team can build reliable software without gaps. Map complex processes with clarity and structure.
**Technology Co-Design**: Work directly with the engineering team to design, validate, and test modern systems that will support all AFP operations. You don't need to code, but you must speak the same language as the tech team and translate regulatory and operational complexity into clear requirements grounded in real-world practice, not just regulatory text.
**Continuous Improvement**: Monitor regulatory changes, propose improvements and automations, and prioritize implementation. Proactively identify operational risks in new developments and suggest preventive controls based on industry experience.
**Acceptance Criteria & Testing**: Support definition of functional tests and acceptance criteria for operational modules as they are released.
**Industry Liaison**: Participate in industry operational forums and support interactions with Chile's Superintendencia de Pensiones on operational matters.
This is a foundational team role where your operational experience is a key piece of the project's success. You'll work in a multidisciplinary environment with real hybrid flexibility.
