Salary: USD 113,000 - 149,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to help shape classified, closed, and air-gapped environments for deploying Anduril products and software. This role combines expertise in information technology, security, and government accreditation processes to balance business needs, product velocity, and customer requirements. Key responsibilities include: - Document security controls and meet cybersecurity framework requirements - Perform iterative security functions to deliver results - Apply commercial technology standards in classified, air-gapped environments - Assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and fellow ISSOs in understanding stakeholder needs and providing technical solutions - Tailor NIST 800-53 controls to network environments and oversee Continuous Monitoring implementation - Define, document, and conduct security scanning on Anduril products and accredited systems - Scope and orchestrate feature development to ensure compliance goals - Design, develop, and implement secure systems per NIST RMF, JSIG, and industry standards - Participate in security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and audits - Recommend security solutions including IDS/IPS, encryption protocols, and secure communications - Develop and enforce access controls and encryption strategies - Maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and accreditation documentation - Manage organizational security posture and regulatory compliance - Participate in Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes for Authority to Operate (ATO) - Lead or assist incident response efforts including investigation and root cause analysis - Conduct regular audits, continuous monitoring, and risk assessments - Collaborate with government security officials and stakeholders Required qualifications: Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance (must be maintainable). Preferred qualifications include experience with Splunk, DISA STIGs, SCC tools, programming/scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and Linux Red Hat operating systems with SELinux policy knowledge.
