Cloudflare is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to serve as a key functional lead within its global tax team. The role focuses on supporting and improving Cloudflare's indirect tax function through process enhancement, control strengthening, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include: - Leading global indirect tax projects and process improvements to enhance compliance readiness, data quality, and operational efficiency - Collaborating with senior team members and cross-functional partners in Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other business areas to gather requirements and deliver tax initiatives - Supporting global indirect tax compliance governance by organizing inputs, reviewing workstreams, and ensuring timely and accurate execution - Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate indirect tax processes, with emphasis on AI-enabled and technology-driven improvements - Evaluating the indirect tax impact of business changes, new products, system updates, and process modifications - Contributing to indirect tax risk management through analysis, governance, and control-related activities - Preparing updates, presentations, and training materials to communicate progress and process developments to stakeholders - Applying regulatory expertise to solve complex compliance issues and proposing innovative solutions Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field - 8+ years of experience in indirect tax, tax operations, tax compliance, or related area - Strong understanding of global indirect tax concepts in multi-country environments - Demonstrated project coordination skills with ability to manage deadlines and support multiple stakeholders - Advanced Excel skills and proficiency analyzing large, complex datasets - Strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail - Experience with tax process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled workflow design - Exposure to ERP systems, tax engines, or finance/tax technology platforms - Experience supporting global indirect tax compliance, audits, reserves, or business transformation projects - Accounting knowledge including journal entries and financial statement structure The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated by finding better, smarter ways to work through automation and standardization.
