Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 / annual
Laborup is seeking a Corporate Trainer to serve as the central training coordinator for a heavy industry and precision manufacturing facility. This role bridges Human Resources and Production, owning the full employee training lifecycle from onboarding through long-term development.
You will manage the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinate On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs, develop training materials, and track employee progress. Working roughly 50% on the production floor and 50% in the office, you'll partner directly with department leaders and subject matter experts to ensure training aligns with operational needs and drives continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering the LMS and maintaining accurate training records
- Coordinating new hire onboarding and initial employee development
- Reviewing and improving department training documentation and OJT programs
- Conducting classroom and production-floor training sessions
- Creating presentations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training manuals
- Evaluating training effectiveness and recommending improvements
- Supporting department managers and subject matter experts
- Tracking compliance, recertifications, and regulatory training requirements (including OSHA)
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Associate degree (with relevant experience), strong Microsoft Office and computer skills, experience developing training presentations, ability to write procedures and training materials, project management capability, and comfort working in production environments. Manufacturing experience, LMS expertise, employee training program leadership, OSHA knowledge, and experience measuring training effectiveness are preferred.
The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, 1st shift, based in Attica, Indiana.
