As People Operations Manager for the France office, you will be the operational backbone of HR, ensuring seamless daily processes, full compliance, and a high-quality employee experience. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for employee lifecycle milestones, vendor relations, and operational execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end payroll processing for France-based employees, collaborating with external providers and Finance to ensure timely, accurate execution
- Owning the complete onboarding journey: labor contracts, amendments, certificates, and system updates for new hires
- Managing immigration and mobility requests, including work permits, visa renewals, and National Security Number applications
- Resolving daily employee inquiries on benefits, enrollment, and company policies with clear, prompt support
- Maintaining compliance infrastructure by updating employee handbooks and monitoring French employment law changes
- Leading HR software initiatives and vendor management to evaluate, implement, and refine HRIS and payroll tools
- Streamlining workflows through documentation, automation, and auditing to eliminate administrative bottlenecks
You'll need 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment, with a degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. Deep knowledge of French labor laws, local employment regulations, national payroll structures, and tax compliance is essential. You must have proven experience managing the full employee lifecycle and technical proficiency with modern HRIS platforms and payroll tools. Strong analytical skills, a hands-on execution style with a builder mindset, and clear communication for managing sensitive employee topics are critical.
