Multiverse Computing, a well-funded deep-tech company founded in 2019 and recognized by CB Insights as one of the 100 most promising AI companies globally, is seeking an HR & Office Operations Specialist for its Barcelona office. This hybrid role combines HR generalist responsibilities with office administration and operational leadership, making you the primary point of contact for both employee HR needs and Barcelona office logistics. Key responsibilities include: serving as the first point of contact for HR-related employee queries; managing all Barcelona office administrative matters including vendor relationships and local regulatory compliance; overseeing office supplies, facilities, and workspace to maintain a productive environment; supporting internal events and team gatherings; providing HR advisory and policy guidance to local leadership; coordinating new hire onboarding logistics (office access, equipment, desk allocation, orientation); liaising with IT for day-one readiness; supporting offboarding processes including equipment return and access revocation; assisting with performance management processes and evaluation cycles; supporting Learning & Development initiatives and identifying training needs; contributing to HR operations including salary benchmarking and compensation framework implementation; and supporting employee relations matters and HR strategy discussions. Required qualifications: 4+ years of HR and/or office administration experience combining generalist HR support with operational/office management; experience supporting performance management, L&D, or employee relations; familiarity with HR operations and compensation concepts; strong organizational skills managing multiple priorities; analytical skills with HR systems and data; excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities; working knowledge of Spanish labour legislation; fluency in Spanish and English; proficiency in Microsoft 365 with strong Excel skills; and adaptability to switch between strategic HR support and day-to-day operations. Preferred: experience in fast-paced, international, or startup environments; exposure to tech or deep-tech companies; knowledge of international labour laws; and experience managing office budgets, vendor relationships, or facilities.
