Buena, backed by GV, is transforming property management across Germany by acquiring and converting traditional property management companies into technology-driven businesses. The company has grown to become Germany's third-largest property management firm in just three years with a lean headquarters team, and continues rapid expansion through monthly acquisitions.
As HR Manager, you will lead HR operations for over 400 employees across Buena's Berlin headquarters and portfolio companies throughout Germany. This is a foundational role building HR systems and processes from the ground up to support scaling to 1,000+ employees.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing nationwide HR systems and people processes that enable company-wide growth and scalability
- Managing Personio (the company's HR information system) across all German operations, ensuring high data quality standards
- Meeting with managing directors of portfolio companies to discuss personnel matters and improve HR processes across the organization
- Advising headquarters leadership and the property management team on all employment law matters
- Building and leading your own HR team as the function scales

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years full-time HR experience, with demonstrated ability to build processes from scratch and own them end-to-end
- Minimum 2 years in high-growth environments (VC-backed startups or PE-backed companies)
- Native-level German language proficiency
- Strong process design and labor law expertise
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ambition to build and lead a team
- Must be willing to work in-office in Berlin
