Rula is seeking a People Operations Specialist to support the People team in delivering seamless, organized experiences across the employee lifecycle. This is a remote-first role based in the United States (excluding Hawaii). In this position, you will execute essential HR workflows including employee onboarding, HRIS data management, and front-line employee support. You will work with AI-powered tools and other technologies to create clear, compliant, and efficient processes while providing scalable operations and actionable data insights. The role focuses on eliminating friction and supporting high-impact operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include managing employee lifecycle changes in HRIS systems, maintaining accurate and confidential employee data, providing both white-glove and self-service support to employees, and collaborating with the People team to optimize operational workflows. Rula is a Series C mental healthcare company dedicated to making mental health care accessible and evidence-based. REQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years of related experience in HR, people operations, or operations function - Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) and/or Microsoft (Excel, Word) tools - Hands-on experience using HRIS or similar systems to maintain data and execute employee lifecycle changes - Ability to work with sensitive, confidential employee information with high discretion and data accuracy - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to balance white glove and self-service employee support PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 1+ years experience at a high-growth start-up - Basic working knowledge of HR compliance and policies - Experience with ADP, Charthop, Ashby, Confluence, Jira, and/or other HR systems - Ability to work autonomously with general guidance, independently managing daily tasks and prioritizing based on business need
