Runway is seeking an HR Generalist to manage the full breadth of human resources operations for a fast-growing AI company building world models and generative tools for creative production. This is a high-ownership, independent role reporting to the HR Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage full-cycle onboarding and offboarding for full-time employees and contractors
- Administer HRIS (Rippling) with focus on data integrity and accuracy
- Support employee visa processes, leave management, and compliance matters
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations issues, applying judgment and escalating appropriately
- Act as trusted resource on benefits, policies, and HR-related questions
- Partner with HR Manager on performance reviews, open enrollment, engagement surveys, and other strategic programs
- Contribute flexibly across HR initiatives as needed
Required qualifications:
- 3-5 years in HR Generalist, HR Associate, or People Operations role
- Strong understanding of core HR functions: benefits administration, leave management, employment law basics
- High emotional intelligence and sound judgment in sensitive situations
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- HRIS platform experience (Rippling preferred)
- High ownership mindset and team-first attitude
