Flexport is seeking an experienced HR Generalist based in Mumbai to own the full employee lifecycle and people programs across India and the Subcontinent. This is a comprehensive generalist role reporting to the APAC People leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full-cycle recruiting: build search strategies, source active and passive candidates, screen, interview, and guide candidates through hiring and onboarding across multiple departments
- Track sourcing data and ROI by channel; partner with hiring managers to attract and close top talent
- Drive proactive recruiting initiatives and build the Flexport employer brand across the region
- Communicate candidate pipelines, funnel metrics, and performance data to stakeholders
- Serve as the local APAC People team representative, enhancing employee experience from onboarding through offboarding
- Lead local HR operations including HRIS data management in Workday, employee support, reporting, analytics, process improvement, payroll support, and policy development
- Maintain accurate HRIS data, run audits, and resolve employee tickets
- Leverage AI-powered tools to automate repetitive HR tasks, improve sourcing and screening, and surface insights from people data
- Act as local expert on HR policy and ensure compliance across the region
- Take on additional projects from global and regional People leadership as needed
Required qualifications:
- BA/BS degree and 6+ years of experience, including full-cycle recruiting at a search firm or fast-growing company
- Strong track record processing HR transactions with solid understanding of APAC HR best practices
- Proven ability to build rapport with hiring managers and cross-functional partners at all levels
- Creative approach to sourcing talent with ability to build candidate networks
- Results-driven with end-to-end process ownership and data/metrics motivation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Hands-on Workday experience (HCM, recruiting, or reporting) strongly preferred
- Comfort adopting AI-powered HR and recruiting tools with curiosity about AI applications
