Showpad is seeking an HR Business Partner to join their People Team in Chicago (with flexibility for Boston or London candidates). This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the local office. You will serve as a strategic partner to executives and business leaders across the organization, balancing high-level people strategy with hands-on program execution. You'll act as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and all people matters that intersect with business performance. Key responsibilities include: Strategic HR Partnership: Partner with executives and senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy. Translate business goals into people strategies and proactively identify people risks and opportunities. Employee Relations & HR Expertise: Independently manage complex employee relations issues including investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution. Provide coaching to leaders on difficult conversations. Maintain deep knowledge of US and EMEA employment laws and stay current on HR trends. Program Execution & Operational Excellence: Own core People programs end-to-end including merit cycles, performance reviews, engagement surveys, and exit processes. Partner with People Ops on process improvements. Maintain data accuracy in Workday and use people analytics to support data-driven decision-making. Change Agent: Support change initiatives by partnering with business leaders on adoption and communication. Monitor effectiveness and surface barriers to success. Culture Champion: Champion programs that foster inclusive, high-performance culture. Advocate for employees and model company values. Required qualifications: 5+ years progressive HR experience with at least 2 years as an HRBP. Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. Strong business acumen connecting people strategies to organizational outcomes. Proven ability to manage complex employee relations matters with empathy and legal grounding. Solid knowledge of US and EMEA employment laws. Experience executing People programs with attention to detail. Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and data reporting tools. Strong communication and influence skills. Experience in high-growth, international software/technology companies is a strong plus.
