ScyllaDB is a global, remote-first company providing high-performance NoSQL database solutions trusted by leading organizations worldwide. We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to own the full US employee experience and serve as the dedicated HR partner for our US-based team.
In this high-autonomy role, you will be the primary HR contact for US employees and managers, reporting to the HR Director and collaborating closely with GTM and technical leadership. You will manage the complete employee lifecycle and serve as a strategic advisor on all people matters.
Key responsibilities include:
• Full-cycle recruiting support: Partner with hiring managers on job requirements, screen CVs, conduct phone interviews, develop sourcing strategies, and manage relationships with external recruitment agencies for US and global roles.
• Performance management and employee relations: Coach leaders through performance management processes, team structuring, career development conversations, and complex employee relations issues. Facilitate discussions around promotions, skill development pathways, and associate mapping.
• Benefits administration: Administer employee benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and PTO in partnership with PEO providers. Oversee plan transitions, open enrollment, vendor changes, and 401(k) rollovers.
• Compliance and documentation: Ensure compliance with US multi-state employment laws, maintain transparent candidate and employee communications, and document key meeting outcomes.
• Employee engagement and well-being: Design and implement US employee well-being and engagement initiatives. Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, conduct exit interviews, and develop programs to foster connection and long-term retention.
• HR operations: Leverage HR tools (HiBob) and AI tools to streamline workflows, improve data analytics, and enhance operational efficiency.
You will be instrumental in maintaining our culture, engagement, and operational standards as we scale globally.
