Salary: USD 176,035 - 207,100 / annual
Coinbase is seeking an HR Business Partner to join the People team and drive organizational effectiveness across functional leadership groups. In this role, you will own the full HR Business Partner lifecycle for your client groups, translating business strategy into people and organizational strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning people programs and strategies including performance management, compensation, talent development, engagement, and retention
- Partnering with functional leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and people strategies that support business objectives at scale
- Leading coaching and counsel for leaders on professional development, career pathing, leveling, change management, and sensitive people situations
- Driving data-informed people insights by analyzing trends and translating them into actionable recommendations for leadership
- Building and applying HR policies with attention to compliance and risk reduction, managing employee relations issues across global teams
- Strengthening cross-functional partnerships across the People Team Centers of Excellence to ensure cohesive delivery of people programs
You will need 8+ years of experience in Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Recruiting Leadership, Talent Strategy & Operations, Consulting, Chief of Staff, or HR roles, with direct experience advising senior leaders on organizational and people strategy. You should have a proven track record navigating complex stakeholder situations with sound judgment, including performance issues, restructures, and sensitive employee matters. Experience using people data (engagement surveys, attrition metrics, performance trends) to build recommendations and influence leadership decisions is essential. You should have a track record of designing and executing people programs end-to-end with measurable business outcomes, high integrity and discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight.
