Stress-Free Auto Care is seeking an HR Administrator to provide administrative and operational support for the Human Resources department. This role is the operational backbone of HR, responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting the full employee lifecycle, administering benefits, ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws, and delivering exceptional service to employees and managers.
Key responsibilities include: maintaining HRIS data and personnel files in compliance with company policies and employment laws; processing employee lifecycle transactions including hiring, onboarding, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations; coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities including offer documentation, I-9 verification, background checks, new hire training, and exit processes; administering employee benefits by assisting with enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and vendor communications; supporting leave administration for FMLA, ADA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, and other leave requests while maintaining confidential medical records; assisting with HR compliance initiatives including labor law postings, OSHA and workers' compensation documentation, and internal HR audits; providing payroll support by processing employee changes, resolving timekeeping issues, and coordinating with Payroll; serving as an HR resource for employees and managers; and maintaining HR documentation, reports, certifications, and training records.
Required qualifications: High school diploma or GED; 2+ years of HR administrative experience; experience with HRIS systems (Rippling preferred); proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management abilities; ability to handle confidential information with discretion; and high attention to detail. Preferred qualifications include experience supporting multi-state employers, knowledge of California and Texas employment laws, benefits and leave administration experience, onboarding and payroll coordination experience, and SHRM-CP, PHR, or working toward certification.
