Mollie, a European fintech serving 250,000+ businesses in payments and money management, is doubling in size and seeking a Head of Ways of Working to own the next version of its operating model. This is a leadership role with real influence across the entire company, not a process role.
You will collaborate with Mollie's VP People and Extended Leadership Team (ELT) to define how domains and teams are structured, how they communicate, share information, and maintain consistent standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Own and refresh the operating model from foundational theory to practical application, leading rollout of the Mollie Playbook across all domains so routines and communication standards become daily practice
- Drive targeted updates to operating model basics, including group roles within domains, team placement, and expectations on accountable leads
- Build Mollie's information architecture with the data team, enabling employees to navigate the organization, find up-to-date information, and access accurate answers through AI-enabled tools
- Lead implementation of ways of working with GoCardless (recent acquisition), educating new colleagues on Mollie's operating model while incorporating their best practices
- Run workshops with management and extended leadership to align on key decisions, build buy-in, and resolve debated topics
- Build and lead a small team of program managers driving rollout, content, training, and adoption across the company
- Establish feedback loops to keep the operating model current and own change management across the organization, communicating proactively and serving as the go-to contact for employee feedback
You bring 8+ years of operational experience in scaling technology or fintech companies, including 3+ years in a managerial role. You have strong judgment on how businesses should run, with clear opinions on team structure, communication, and routines backed by a track record. You've designed or improved operating models, ways of working, or organizational effectiveness. You're comfortable working across both People/HR and product/engineering sides with credibility in each. You understand how AI and data architecture can improve information access (technical depth not required). Fluency in English is required; post-merger integration experience is a strong plus.
Mollie operates with 950+ employees across 14+ locations, emphasizing autonomy, craft, small teams with real ownership, and a balanced work environment. The company is committed to personal growth, regular feedback, transparent salary reviews, and internal mobility.
