Nexus Cognitive is hiring a Head of UX to lead design strategy and execution for NexusOne, a converged data platform built for the AI era. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on design work across enterprise software surfaces.
Key responsibilities include defining and evolving UX strategy aligned to product direction and customer needs; leading holistic experience design across navigation, workflows, admin interfaces, data-heavy screens, and onboarding. You'll establish UX principles and quality bars, driving consistency across teams and features.
You'll create an early-stage research program including interview plans, usability testing, and feedback loops with Customer Success and Support. You'll synthesize insights into clear priorities that influence roadmap decisions and build a discoverable research repository.
Design execution is hands-on: you'll produce high-quality design artifacts (flows, wireframes, prototypes, UI specs) and work directly with engineers through build. You'll run working sessions with Product and Engineering to de-risk complex problems and ensure accessibility and inclusive design practices are embedded in the process.
You'll establish or mature a design system (components, tokens, patterns, usage guidance) with a pragmatic adoption plan, partnering with Engineering on front-end architecture implications. You'll hire, mentor, and develop designers and researchers/content designers as needed, defining how UX engages with Product and Engineering through intake, prioritization, design reviews, handoffs, and acceptance criteria.
You'll partner closely with Product leadership to clarify problems and sequence roadmap; with Engineering to integrate design into delivery; with Customer Success/Support to identify pain points and reduce friction; and with Security/Compliance stakeholders to ensure enterprise expectations are met.
