Hilo by Aktiia is a venture-backed medical device company ($96M raised) building the world's only medically accurate, cuffless, continuous blood pressure monitor for daily use. The device is clinically validated, CE Marked as a Class IIa medical device, and now available in 12 countries including a recent US launch in July 2026.
As Head of US Market, you will own the complete US commercial strategy and serve as Hilo's primary on-the-ground representative in the United States. This is a career-defining opportunity to build and scale one of the company's most important markets from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the US commercial strategy with local market insight
- Driving B2C execution across core channels: paid media, PR, KOLs/influencers, affiliates, newsletters, social media, and Amazon
- Owning the end-to-end US customer experience by partnering cross-functionally with Product, App, Website, Operations, and Customer Support to identify and remove friction, improving conversion, retention, and satisfaction
- Managing significant budget responsibility for the US market and accountability for commercial performance
- Serving as Hilo's brand ambassador in the US, representing the company at industry events, press, and partner conversations
- Supporting B2B and partnership efforts as a local spearhead for clinics, hypertension specialists, and payer/employer partners
You should have experience helping grow a business with meaningful budget responsibility, a track record from a top-tier company or team, and demonstrated experience taking products to market and scaling through high-growth stages. You need strong execution mindset, data-driven decision-making, and excellent executive communication skills. Healthcare, medtech, or wellness ecosystem relationships are valuable.
Success metrics include making Hilo the #1 voice in the US blood pressure conversation, growing US into a sizable portion of global sales, establishing strong local B2B presence, and delivering a frictionless US customer experience.
The role is remote-first but US-based (preferably East Coast), requires authorization to work in the United States, and involves regular travel to events, KOL meetings, and partner conversations. Minimum half-day overlap with European-based team (CET) and quarterly travel to team and business events.
