Salary: USD 200,000 - 300,000 / annual

Snorkel AI is seeking a Head of Technical Recruiting to build and lead the technical recruiting function supporting the company's next growth phase. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone experienced in scaling technical recruiting teams in hyper-growth startup environments, ideally from ~100 to 1,000 employees. You will own the complete technical recruiting strategy, team development, and execution across Engineering, Research, Product, Forward Deployed Engineering, and Applied AI Engineering functions. Key responsibilities include: • Building and managing a high-performing team of technical recruiters, sourcers, and recruiting leaders • Developing comprehensive technical recruiting strategy including workforce planning, pipeline development, sourcing strategy, and capacity planning • Partnering closely with technical leaders to translate business priorities into actionable hiring plans • Creating a world-class recruiting operating model balancing speed, quality, rigor, and candidate experience • Developing creative sourcing strategies for competitive technical and AI talent markets • Using data to identify bottlenecks, improve conversion rates, forecast outcomes, and drive accountability • Establishing and tracking key recruiting metrics: pipeline health, pass-through rates, time to fill, offer acceptance, source effectiveness, and quality of hire • Coaching hiring managers and interview teams on assessment, structured interviewing, and closing • Building scalable processes while remaining hands-on where needed • Representing Snorkel AI externally as an employer of choice Ideal candidates bring experience building technical recruiting teams in hyper-growth startups, deep expertise recruiting for Engineering, Research, Product, ML, AI, and Infrastructure roles, strong knowledge of the Bay Area technical talent market, proven track record developing recruiting teams and creating scalable practices, and experience partnering with senior technical leaders on hiring strategy. You should be data-oriented, creative in sourcing and talent mapping, have strong executive presence, and be comfortable operating in ambiguity while building systems and processes from scratch.
