DTX Pharma (a Novartis Company) is seeking a Head of Talent & Development for Japan to lead the talent and organizational development agenda across the region. This is a Band Level 6 role with significant strategic scope and people management responsibility. You will shape and execute an integrated Talent & Development strategy aligned with overall business strategy, partnering closely with business leaders and P&O stakeholders across the International business in Japan. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and executing a cohesive T&D strategy that enables business performance and future readiness • Providing strategic counsel on talent management organization, tools, and processes • Diagnosing organizational issues and delivering action plans based on analytical insights, leveraging AI and data analytics • Strengthening succession planning and talent pipeline development using AI-driven solutions to enhance selection, retention, and growth of top talent • Leading efficient implementation of T&D processes and programs across the region, ensuring achievement of talent pipeline targets (selection, retention, development, and exportation) • Ensuring correct and timely execution of T&D policies and procedures • Managing and developing teams overseeing various T&D projects with AI integration Required qualifications include cross-functional experience with deep Talent & Development technical expertise, people management experience, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and global/regional/in-country experience. Fluency in English and Japanese is required, with ability to support global offers within country. Desired skills include change management, coaching, consulting, digital literacy, facilitation, influencing without authority, organizational development, relationship building, strategic workforce planning, and talent management.
